　　Nowadays witness the gradual loss of traditional culture in modern society. What accounts for this tendency? There are several factors could be listed as follows: on the one hand, quite a few people, especially our youngsters, hold that Chinese traditional culture is outdated for them and of little use in the modern society. From their perspective, traditional culture which was formed in the distant past can hardly adapt to or keep pace with the ever-changing new world. Moreover, exotic cultures, to some extent, have also posed a great challenge to the traditional culture of China. As we can see, people in amounting number have been attracted by and been obsessed with western cultures which feature diversity, novelty and richness. For instance, being Craze at foreign TV programs, electronic products or even ways of life abound in our daily life.

　　It is undoubted that no one can deny the significant influence of Chinese traditional culture. It is the crystallization of Chinese wisdom and civilization. An individual or nation showing no respect to the essence of traditional culture cannot be expected to develop and be stronger. Hence, something could and should be done to reverse the inexorable decline in the emphasis of Chinese traditional culture.
